The production of the Cayman Parent Magazine Cover

The cat was out of town aka the fabulous Melissa Wolfe, who has photographed the previous covers of the Cayman Parent Magazine, so Heather the publisher asked me to step in for the cover of the next edition. Shooting the Cayman Parent Magazine Cover was such a fantastic experience.

Heather and I discussed her ideas for the shoot before we heading out to Smith Cove. The cover story for the third edition of the magazine was about grandparents, so she wanted to final image to reflect that.

For the Cayman Parent Magazine Cover shoot we chose the popular spot Smith Cove as we knew that it would give us a variety of options with trees, the Caribbean Sea and Cayman Ironshore as backgrounds.

Heather recruited Heather and Geoffrey Corroyer and their two grandsons Dante and Gabriele for the cover photo and they were so much fun to work with.

The final photo for the Cayman Parent Magazine Cover (the last image in this post) was probably one of the last images that I took. Heather shared a few early mock ups for the cover with me but we all agreed that the selected image was the best one.
