I love shooting engagement photos and one of the questions, I like to ask all my couples is: What makes you tick? In my view engagement photos should reflect the personality of the couple. This way every photo session is unique! I don’t just take my couples to the beach … which of course is a must, considering that we have some of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean.

Well, Heather told me that Wayne loves Rugby and started playing over 20 year’s ago. He got all excited when I told them that we would be starting our session at the local rugby club. The Club turned out to be a great location. A quick wardrobe change and we finished our photo shoot at the South Sound Public Dock.

I am already looking forward to their upcoming wedding at the Grand Old House next year!

Welcome to the second part of my engagement photo shoot with Victoria and Carlos. After cutting our session short the day before due to rain, we were spoiled with the most beautiful Caribbean Sunset.

Victoria and Carlos brought their dog Ziggy along for the shoot. After a slow start Ziggy and I became best buds. He would sit next to me while I was taking photos of the two.

Victoria and Carlos met at the St. Matthew’s University – School of Veterinary Medicine here in Grand Cayman. Before they left Cayman to finish their training in the US, the couple wanted to take some engagement photos as a keepsake.

Since both Carlos and Victoria love animals and especially horses, I met them at the local Equestrian Center and had plans to go to the beach afterwards. On my way to the stables, I spotted the most beautiful rainbow. Unfortunately, rainbows mean rain. We never made it to the beach that day but got some great photos at the stables.

In part two you can see the beach photos that we took the next day …. which turned out to be the most perfect beach day!

Lis and I have been friends ever since I moved to Grand Cayman and I was very excited to photograph her and Paul’s engagement.

Paul and Lis have know each other for quite some time through the local running club. Having been in other relationships though they didn’t really take notice of each other. When they finally did the sparks were as bright as the stars over the Caribbean Sea.

Only a few months later they got engaged and I was right there with my camera. Paul asked me to secretly take photos while he proposes to Lis. How could I say ‘no’? We had scouted out the location before hand and on the day, I was hiding in the bushes.

A few weeks later we met up in Camana Bay for their engagement session. Lis looked radiant and Paul was sporting a three day beard … just because Lis loves it.

This photo was taken on the night when Paul popped the question. It was magical!

We had the idea of hiring some bikes for their photo shoot since both are active Triathletes. I love these beach cruisers.

Sarah and Daniel had some trouble getting to the Paradise that is Little Cayman. They eventually arrived a day late but in high spirits.

It was a lovely evening on the island. I love Little Cayman as life is just a bit slower there.
They stayed at the Little Cayman Beach Resort and we planned our shoot on the beach and around the property.
