Bob’s mum contacted us and asked me to photograph Leah and Bob’s wedding at the Marriott Beach Resort. Unfortunately, the bride and groom’s families were not able to join them, but they wanted some keepsakes from the ceremony on stunning Seven Mile Beach.

It was so rewarding for me to receive this litte note from the happy couple.

Hello Melissa,

We cannot be any happier with the way the pictures turned out!! Your photography is a true masterpiece! Thank you again for your work and spending our wedding with us as well:) We love the ones with the sunset and the ones in the garden are amazing as well.  Thank you again and we will definitely be returning to the Caymans!

Leah and Bob

When Traci first emailed me, it was such a coincidence that our children are the same age and gender.  We decided to do a sunrise shoot as you never know how things might go at the end of a day in the sun and fun.  I am so glad that it worked out as the colours in the water in the early morning were brilliant shades of blue, turquoise and teal.  Waking up with the sunrise has so many benefits.  It was peaceful and children had a fun time.  The beach jumping was our big finale.

Paris was her name. Bringing with her from icy north an incredibly happy entourage. All ready to have fun, party, enjoy a perfect day. John and Paris have now three children between them. One of my favourite parts of a wedding is when the children are involved. With the steel drums setting the tropical pace, it was a day without flaw! congratulations John & Paris. Your family and friends really know how to have a great time.

Jodie and Shawn had the dream of getting married on the beach. What better beach can you get than the one outside of The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman?

They were such a fun couple to work with. Shawn has a Batman logo inside his wedding band, which Jodie had engraved as a surprise for him.

and the cake… the beach chairs are too cute.  The Ritz-Carlton has a talented pastry chef with creativity and every cake is always unique.

Above is when Jodie revealed the Batman logo on the inside of Shawn’s wedding ring.  It was a special moment and we all laughed about how surprised and delighted he was.

The Rockwell family was just adorable when I met them on our most famous beach here in Grand Cayman – Seven Mile Beach.

The youngest generation of the family solely consist out of beautiful girls. They were so much fun and loved their little photo shoot. I am sure they can’t wait to tell all their girlfriends back home all about their experiences here in Cayman. Our photo shoot just being one of them.

I am very grateful that I was able to photograph Sancia & Jurell wedding as well at the super fun Trash the Dress Session, which you can see below this post.

The wedding venue of choice was the beautiful setting at the Grand Old House. It was a heart warming ceremony and their friends were a fun bunch to party with.

Sancia and Jurell had a beautiful wedding at the Grand Old House.  Part of the planning was a ‘trash the dress’ session the very next day.

I love the elegant Nicole Miller dress that Sancia bought especially for this TtD session.  The wedding gown that she wore to her ceremony was very different, in fact exquisite.  I love the way the Nicole Miller dress looks wet…

Sancia and Jurell love the water and were not shy to get all wet!

Kristina and Dan exchanged their vows while the sun was setting over Seven Mile Beach at the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.

The set up at the beach was beautiful and once the sun was down; the lighting, the stars and the moon created the most romantic setting for Kristina and Dan’s reception with close friends and family.

LIfe sweetens when people like the Rockwells unexpectedly come into your life….

It’s a GREAT STORY….

Francesca and Nick came to Caribbean Club, Grand Cayman to plan their wedding with a few other members of the Rockwell clan. They decided to get married within the week!

AND…Talk about supporting local vendors:
Arabus – the wedding dress
The Cabana (Lily Pulitzer) – girl’s dresses
NKY – the men’s outfits
Havaiana Store – all new flip flops
Island Companies – the wedding rings
Celebrations – flowers and decor
Plenty of Moet, which I was happy to accept after we wrapped the shoot.

After their ceremony, the went for dinner at Hemmingways at Grand Cayman Beach Suites. Ed Solomon (of Arabus) was playing, he is a great musician and very well loved.

Happiness and Kindness Abounds…
I see a long and happy future….
