What a unique idea for a party…. frozen to below zero. NOW…. many clients coming from cooler climates would not think it to be fun, but residents pulled out their winter wear for a night of CHILL…. The bar was made entirely of ice, as was the DJ booth and the shooter glasses. The decor was appropriately chilly blue and lots of cool white. It was pretty sexy!
This event attracts the best of the best of the wedding industry. I was proud to be asked by the planners to photograph engage!10. Being a part time (one-off) event planner myself (YCLA), I know how much it means to planners to have their event properly documented. Thank you everyone for all your confidence. Check out the photos and let me know how you think Day One went! engage!10 is a brilliant partnership between Engaging Concepts and the CI Department of Tourism, with sponsors including The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, Celebrations and Cayman Airways. Good Job everyone. Great Start!!

Sum it up: Cayman Islands, Department of Tourism, Engaging Concepts, Celebrations, The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, a luxury wedding business summit. Yup. got it all… How about someone looking cool in a white linen shirt, sunglasses and a straw hat?

They carried this huge block of ice down the beach. No kidding… from the kitchen of the Ritz-Carlton, to the shore of Seven Mile Beach. They filled it with sorbet and ice cream. Love it!
At Taikun, they freshly grind the wasabi. David and I ate dinner at 7 a few nights ago and everything was perfection. Outstanding service and food.
SMORES!! They served gourmet smores with chocolate dipping sauce!
Devon always rocks the sax. Cayman has so many talented local musicians.
What a nice place to chill while the sun sets over the horizon.
This piece of decor from Celebrations was so impressive that it was hard to photograph the entire thing. Details were easier, because it was so mammoth! That is more than design… that is construction work too. Like a building between the two food stations. Most impressive were the yellow flowers above the blue light. They are local flowers from a tree that blooms this time of year in the Cayman Islands.
Supporting Community-based initiatives – The Rotary Club of Grand Cayman at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman. What a super night – John Felder and his team really pulled off a grand event!
The Four Way Test of Rotary:
1. is it the truth
2. is it fair to all concerned
3. does it build goodwill and better friendships
4. is it beneficial to all concerned

What a party. Fun! It was a select group of the top-performing travel wholesalers, mainly from the United States, invited to the annual Cayman Islands Tourism Exchange.
The wholesalers were identified and recommended by local tourism operators, the Cayman Islands Tourism Association and the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism.
I was asked to photograph the event. Happily did that. Tons more photos on better angle FaceBook page
staff from new restaurant about to open (Michael’s Original) made up this cocktail. It was awesome.

Booking professional photography for welcome or rehearsal dinner is money well spent. These are some good times. The speeches were funny, the Cayman Style BBQ was yummy, everyone was dancing and enjoying life. See more on FaceBook.
